I went searching for an obscure part that I was fairly certain I wouldn’t be able to find, and I was right, but I did see a few interesting cars or what used to be interesting cars.

First there was a Corvair:

One of the things wrong with it might have been that the engine now resides in the frunk:

Next up was a 1955 Mercury Montclair. I’m not sure who would be pulling parts from this car, but it’s there if they need it.

There was also what I assume was a 60s Mercedes of some sort.

All that was left of the interior was it’s very unique speedometer.

There was also a Jaaag that still had plenty to give to somebody in need.

Next up there was the combination of a 62 Impala, ‘65 Fury, and mid-60s Jeep pickup which is just visible behind the Fury.

Kinja'd!!!

Last but not least was a 240Z with some solid panels on the right, but pretty bashed in on the driver’s side.

There was also a few others like a ‘71 Mustang that was in the process of donating its engine but I didn’t get shots of those.

You must be somewhere very dry because there seems remarkably little rust for cars that old.

I’m in the PNW but on the dry side of the mountains so rust on old cars like this is kind of hit or miss depending on how much winter driving they saw back when salt was still used. My Camaro, for instance, has a fair amount of rust around the rear wheel wells but is structurally pretty sound.

You never see anything like these around here, they’ve all turned to dust or were crushed 20+ years ago. I’m jealous.
